Anonymous I am currently trialing the glove with an adolescent patient with cerebral palsy. She has reported that the glove is comfortable to wear and is less stigmatizing than a more rigid splint. Zach Sutton As a Certified Hand Therapist and Doctor of Physical Therapy, I am currently using the MetaFlex Glove with a patient presenting with radial nerve palsy and significant wrist/finger drop who is unable—or unwilling—to tolerate a traditional rigid orthosis. The MetaFlex has provided an effective and welcomed alternative for maintaining functional hand position during daily activities.
Clinical Impression
The MetaFlex Glove offers:
• Dynamic extension assistance for the wrist and digits, supporting functional grasp-and-release patterns.
• Lightweight, low-profile design that patients with orthosis aversion are more willing to wear consistently.
• Improved adherence compared to hard orthoses, particularly for patients who find traditional splints bulky, restrictive, or cosmetically unappealing.
• Functional carryover, allowing improved hand positioning for task performance while the nerve recovers.
While not a replacement for rigid stabilization when required, the MetaFlex Glove is an excellent option for:
• Early functional support during radial nerve recovery
• Patients with sensory sensitivity or poor tolerance of rigid splints
• Situations where compliance is critical to daily use and participation

We totally understand that many customers are in need of stronger resistance to keep their fingers in the stretched position so we've developed and just launched our Pro version that uses resistance bands that are 2x stronger resulting in a better stretch.

Mark S. In theory this glove should help, but it's almost impossible to get on a hand with spasticity. Also, I only need a glove for my right hand so if they must be sold in pairs, why not offer two for the same hand?
